Register for the 2023 Ontario Wine Awards

For the first time, the George Brown College Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts will be your host for the annual Ontario Wine Awards competition. OWA winners will be unveiled at an afternoon presentation ceremony at Niagara College on Thursday, June 8.

Sponsors, media, trade and industry representatives alike will attend to celebrate the successes of Ontario’s VQA wines. During the presentations, guests will be treated to a reception of local appetizers paired with some of the Gold Medal wines. Additional details about this event will be announced shortly.

Entering The Ontario Wine Awards automatically enrols your VQA wines in the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Ontario Wines. Top wines from the Ontario Wine Awards will be evaluated by a separate panel of distinguished Master Sommeliers and Masters of Wine for the Lieutenant Governor’s Awards.

The consumer event for the Ontario Wine Awards will be held at George Brown College in Toronto on Monday, June 26, at 5:00 pm.

To enter, complete our online form. The form is at the bottom of this window, or you can click the link to open it in a new browser window. You can enter any number of vintages, but to enter more than 15, you will need to complete the form multiple times. You will be able to download or print a PDF copy of your responses for your records.

The entry form details all information required to enter. In addition, you can preview the OWA Entry Conditions letter, for step-by-step instructions to select and ship your wines to the consolidation points. The Ontario Wine Awards Consolidation Form will serve as your shipment manifest. boob

The deadline to enter is Friday, April 14.

Please note:

  • Deadline for ALL entries AND arrival of wine vary by consolidation point. Please refer to the Consolidation Information section at the end of the OWA Entry Conditions letter for details.
  • Each entry costs $88.14 ($78.00 plus 13% HST) per vintage. Pay via our secure payment portal on Stripe. The link will open in a new browser window.
  • You can make your payment before or after you complete our registration form.
